Tasting Room Profitability

Livermore, CA January 22, 2009 - Marin welcomed the return of the Tasting Room Profitability seminars. Drawing in hundreds of winery owners, managers and supporting winery staff the seminars covered hot topics like compliance, optimizing your customer's on-line experience, email marketing and negotiating with venders to make the most profit out of each event.

Even in economic challenging times there is money to be made however in these days it takes a bit more work than before.

WineBadge.com and Wine Preserva were two of the new products that were introduced and demonstrated. Attendees showed true interest in creating interest in their products, adding new items to their tasting rooms and also were straight forward in asking about profit margins.

Affordable and creative ways to be "Green" are challenges in the wine industry. Shipping wine needs to consider breakage of glass bottles, extreme weather conditions and the hands of the deliverymen that should have been throwing footballs in the NFL. Green products for shipping were demonstrated by Packaging plus.

Increasing sales in the tasting room, generating sales on-line orders and compliance were challenges that were discussed at the event. Arthur Court Designs, Teresa DiVita confirmed that sales are streaming in. Tasting room managers understand that once visitors come in to their tasting room the wineries have the opportunity to make the most of the visit. Wine is certainly a part of the visit. The experience and ability to leave with something that reminds them of the good experience is a bonus.

Allowing wineries to work and make the most of software they have already invested in is driving business to POS and Club solutions which integrate with QuickBooks POS and QuickBooks Accounting.
