Non-Stop Wine Club & QuickBooks Presentations at
the Unified Wine & Grape Symposium
Livermore, CA January 27, 2011 - The economy seems to be bubbling back and
the attendees are hustling to learn every detail about the solutions being offered.
Active Club Management remains a staple for many wineries. We put ourselves on the line with clients
to deliver a powerful solution at an affordable price. No term contract is required.
We only maintain our clients when we offer excellent support and features that help our clients
grow, reduce operating expenses and increase sales. One factor everyone seems to like is that
there are no "Surprise Fees".
"I hear that other companies are selling their solutions without support contracts. That sets off a red light alert to me. No Support? How much will they charge you AFTER you purchased their solution when you need help?" said Theresa Dorr, President and CEO of Active Club Management. The numbers do not add up as a profitable business.
To sell or license software/hardware the solution has to pass Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security.
Testing for PCI certification has to be completed each time the solution is changed and the testing starts at
$ 30,000.00. When a company sells a solution for $ 500.00 they would either have to 60 licenses of the software simply
to pay for the first PCI certification. This does not cover the secondary certifications or the development of new
product features and certainly does not cover the support costs. So, if you are considering a solution that tells you
"NO SERVICE CONTRACT REQUIRED" I say BEWARE!
Intuit QuickBooks was quite the hot spot. Partnering with Active Club Management for their second
year at the show consultants Steve Green and William English were two of the most popular people at
the event. A majority of wineries use QuickBooks Financials and/or QuickBooks POS.
The event provided the wineries direct access to Steve and William who are two of the top
Intuit consultants in the United States. People were amazed at the power that the POS
(Point of Sales/Cash register solution) could offer. Customer Confidence increases as
they understand that Intuit QuickBooks is a growing market. The product distribution
requires a great level of accuracy, support and development which cannot be said for
other POS solutions.
